—We are dedicated to provide high quality products, processes and services to our customers and this is an important step on that journey, says Joel Andersson, Head of Operations at AMEXCI.
AMEXCI has made the strategic decision of adopting the quality management system (QMS) standard AS9100D as a step in the company’s continued quality work. Industrial demands when scaling up Additive Manufacturing (AM) requires a very thorough control of every aspect surrounding the Laser Powder Bed Fusion process and by running an operation compliant to these regulatory demands opens more possibilities for industrial applications that can be developed and qualified for production.
By working according to this standard AMEXCI has improved its overall performance and at the same time meets applicable statutory and regulatory requirements from customers within the aviation, space, and defense industry, some of the world’s most regulated business sectors.
–We feel proud to see that all the hard work and our dedication to quality in every step of our processes can meet the aerospace industry’s high standards, says Joel Andersson, Head of Operations at AMEXCI.
Behind the certification is hard work and dedication from the entire team which has contributed a lot to improveprocesses for all business areas of the company and it´s about continuously working on improving that we can deliver on our promise to put quality first.
Seeing how the industry is evolving and adopting AM in a more rapid pace than ever before this step opens up possibilities to collaborate with our customers on a wider range of applications.
The AS9100D standard is an international standard intended for use by organizations that design, develop, or provide aviation, space and defense products and services, and by organizations providing post-delivery activities, including the provision of maintenance, spare parts, or materials for their own products and services.
