Congratulations to team 4: Jaako Grönlund, Wärtsilä, Henrik Hindsefelt, Combitech, Hannes Zettel, SKF, Stijn Bosmans, Atlas Copco and Mattias Barrklev, Saab. This team really took their AM knowhow to the next level, utilizing their different backgrounds and expertise to come up with the best solution for optimizing a heat exchanging application. The challenge had clear requirements and boundary conditions, and even though it was a complex challenge, we are truly amazed with the hard work and dedication from all the participating Bootcampers. Bringing AM experts together! The AMEXCI Bootcam Bringing AM experts together! The AMEXCI Bootcamp has so far covered an advanced lecture in biomimicry, a design for AM challenge, analysis of a failed print job, and several team building activities. The goal of this week is to bring advanced AM experts from different companies, with different backgrounds together, to share experience and AM knowledge. The results from the design challenge has been printed at AMEXCI during the week and today - the last day of Bootcamp - the participants will test their printed parts in our materials lab. Maja Zoric opening this year SWII conference in Ne Maja Zoric opening this year SWII conference in Neuchatel, Switzerland. In light of the reaffirmed collaboration agreement between our countries it’s time to initiate more projects aiming to create innovation in the cross section between industry and academia for lightweight products and sustainable production where AM will play a key role for a carbon neutral future. SWII is a joint bilateral initiative with the overall objective to increase market oriented high-technology R&D projects between Switzerland and Sweden. Issuing bilateral calls for R&D project proposals and organizing networking conferences, SWII has catalyzed the creation of bilateral R&D consortia conducting close-to-market projects. Until today, more than 51 projects with a total project value of some 75 million Euros have formed in connection to the SWII activities.  The initiative is a result of the good bilateral relations between Swiss and Swedish research organizations and academia, companies and innovation agencies. It is also a direct spin off to the four Research and Technology Workshops conducted in 2009 and 2010 arranged by Business Sweden and Saab in co-operation with Swiss partners.
